UNDERSTANDING A SUBMISSIVE’S PERSONAL KINK PSYCHOLOGY

A Dominant should take the time to understand a submissive’s personal kink psychology as best they can before they enter into a scene…even if the sub isn’t that clear on it themselves.  The pre-scene negotiation and conversation is so important in building trust in the relationship between the Dominant and sub, as well as to the success of the scene.  Mistress Damiana will share her comprehensive, psychologically-based submissive interview format, her “sub-matrix quiz,” and how The Dominatrix Archetype™ is used in this process.  Submissives also benefit from taking this class to learn about their own personal kink psychology, so to best articulate it to their Dommes/Doms.  A live demonstration will be performed to enrich the teaching.

“SAFE, SANE, CONSENSUAL AND ETHICAL” – THE NEW MOTTO OF BDSM

The Dominant in holds the moral and ethical responsibility BDSM scenes and in D/s dynamics.  The old BDSM motto should be updated to “Safe, Sane, Consensual and Ethical.”  Consent denotes that the responsibility lies equally within each player, yet in fact, we all know that this is not a dynamic based in equity.  Under the powerful influence of subspace, the sub can be swayed in directions that could possibly cause emotional, mental or financial harm.  It doesn’t matter that they *want* to be swayed.  What matters is that the Dom should have the sub’s best interest at heart, even if they don’t.  

PSYCHOLOGICAL SLAVE TRAINING

All slave training is psychological.  The Dominant teaches, re-frames and focuses a slave’s state of mind to that of an obedient, submissive, subservient, worshipful slave by describing why they are doing things to the slave and why the slave is taking things for the Dominant.  Without this psychological guidance, the slave’s mind will naturally wander in unproductive monkey-mind ways: stressed from outside world stuff, wondering if they are doing a good job, worried about how much pain they will be taking, etc.  The slave will enter mental subspace quicker and easier with their Dominant’s psychological guidance.

CULTIVATING SADISM

Sadism in BDSM play doesn’t just have to do with sexual arousal. It is mental, emotional or sexual arousal, excitement or amusement. It’s not just about physical pain (which is the common misinterpretation), it is physical, mental or psychological pain, cruelty, discomfort or humiliation of varying degrees. And the degree of intensity of these things vary trememdously. Being a sadist is fun because you can see or energetically sense that your subs are excited and aroused by it and you feed off their submissiveness, fear, distress, nervousness, etc. But it’s only fun when the particular activity that you am doing matches up with their kinks, fetishes and fantasies.
